After my ray-of-sunshine post from yesterday, I figured I better post something a little more upbeat! I thought I would share how I am organizing all of our cloth diapers for little London! It's not completely finished, but you'll get the idea!
This naked guy decided to photo bomb while trying to get pics of the dresser. He's a sucker for a camera that's for sure.
This dresser used to reside at my parent's house. They've been doing a bit of rearranging, so this piece came home with us. I still need to re-paint the handles to match our living room, but it fits in pretty nicely so far.
On top I have our changing mat. I don't have a cover at the moment, but I'm trying to find a cheap one used that I can wash and place on it.
This is my wipes container. I also will have a small basket on top too that will have the wipes solution, butt cream, snappis, and any other small essentials needed for a good change!
In the first three drawers are our liners, bought inserts and elastics, and our homemade inserts. These fit perfectly, and they're all separated so everything is much easier to find.
Next is our prefolds and flats drawer. These are all separated my sizes from biggest to smallest. Everything is super easy to grab from here.
Here are our wool soakers, aios, pockets, covers and fitteds. Each row is a particular type of diaper while everything in the back are the larger sizes that won't be needed for a while. I love looking at this drawer. A friend donated all but a handful of these (and the prefolds, liners, and flats) to our family. I cried each time I held one in my hand. It was a HUGE answered prayer. I consistently ask the Lord to bless her and her family for such a blessing to our family.
In the bottom drawer just holds an empty box and my naked Boppy pillow. I plan on using this drawer for extra clothes, blankets, and such-but I just haven't gotten there yet.
I know this may not work for everyone, but we have a tiny living room at it works incredibly well at the moment. I wanted our diapers downstairs since I didn't want to have to walk up and down the stairs for every diaper change (although it would be a great post partum workout!). We spend most of our time anyways, so it works. I will have to figure out how to store a few diapers upstairs for nighttime, but it'll work out.
How do you store and organize your cloth diapers?
