I have one fairly picky eater and one
HORRIBLY slightly more picky eater.
This makes fixing meals extremely difficult and honestly a pain in my tush. My son typically lives off of fruit, PBJs, and cereal (non-sugary kind), while getting veggies in from green juice or the veggie/fruit squeezy packs.
Oh and I can't forget cookies.
The darn kid asks my DAILY for cookies (not that I give in) but I wish he'd ask for some broccoli or something. Is that so much to ask? Even as an infant he was picky, but I guess we're working through it?
Well, sometimes I get in the mood to try and make something that I think is tasty for him to try. Of course 99.9% of the time he doesn't eat it...but at least I tried.
Here is one of those recipes.
Moosey LOVED it and cleaned her plate out much quicker than usual, which is why I'm sharing it with you...apparently my son is just weird.
Cranberry Orange Oatmeal
1/3 cup quick oats (cooked)
2 tsp honey
1 tbs dried cranberries
2 tbs orange juice
1 tbs protein powder
(I use THIS brand which is without preservatives, sugar, and pretty much any other junk)
Simply add all ingredients and stir until incorporated.
Like I said earlier, little man wouldn't even try it, but taster number two enjoyed it more than I thought.
What are your favorite oatmeal mix-ins?
How do you feed your super picky toddler good stuff?
