It's 2013 Resolution Time!

That's right, it's finally time for me to share my goals for 2013.

Now there's quite a bit I plan on doing, so be warned!

1. Read the entire Bible.

Now, I've done this a few times before-but I haven't in awhile. This one is really important to me.

2. 50 Books in 2013.

You can read about this resolution HERE.

3. Eat out less, cook at home more.

I have a TON of cookbooks I wanna work through. Also, with this new baby coming-I don't want introduce any bad eating habits-I already have two littles that have some that I must break.

4. Be a better homemaker/have a better schedule.

I've been slacking on my duties since the morning sickness kicked in. It's driving me nuts! I want to get in a better routine, WAY before the baby gets here.

5. Get outside more.

I've mentioned before, I am NOT an outdoorsy person. But for the sake of my babies-I wanna work on that.

6. Do more activities with my little people.

Moosey is at the age where she wants to cut and glue and all of that good stuff. I wanna do more with her, including passing down some trade info like sewing and cooking.

7. Be more positive.

I am a worrier by nature-I really need to change that.

8. I want to help others more.

I slacked on this big time this year. I want my kids to see mommy and daddy BE Jesus to others, instead of just talking about it.

9. Get a workout routine in motion again.

Yeah, you knew that one was coming.

10. Read to my kids more.

I was a big reader as a kid, and I'd like to share that love with them more often.

11. Grow my blog.

I love Purple Kale, and I'd like for it to grow even more.

12. Move to Waynesville, NC.

This must happen...and SOON!! Our hearts are getting anxious for this.

13. More family time.

We get so caught up with the worries of everyday life, we forget to enjoy the little moments. I don't wanna live like that anymore!

So what are some of your resolutions for 2013??

  1. You have some fantastic resolutions! I wish you luck in all of them!

  2. We are resolving to be more self sufficient and get out of a bunch of debt.

And for my job I don't have specific goals just yet but I want to get to the end of the year and be amazed and how well everything did.

  3. Great resolutions. I have lots of the same!

My main resolution in 2013 is to help others more: http://www.tutusteaparties.com/2013/01/making-difference-in-2013.html

  4. Re #10, we started incorporating "book time" into the bedtime routine when my now 8 year old was about 8 months old. At first he would just crawl/roll around on the floor while we read, Even before he was a year old, though, if he didn't stay still, when a book was finished, he still crawled over to the books, pulled another one out and gave it to us to read. Or he'd sign "More" meaning he wanted the current book read again. Even now at 8, we still read to him almost every night. It's a good way to get started and if for some reason reading doesn't happen through the day, you know you've at least got bedtime to look forward to.

  5. Looking good - you are going to be BUSY, busy, busy w these goals. Thank you for sharing...there are some guides to reading the bible in a 1 year time span that you might find helpful to keeping on track. Good Luck - we'll look forward to following your progress :) Happy New Year -

  6. Let yourself relax while you have morning sickness! It is ALWAYS an excuse not to be productive!! : )

  7. We actually have a lot of the same resolutions. One of my resolutions is to "Remember what it was like to be a kid". Sometimes I am a little bit too strict. I just need to remember to laugh and realize that life isn't always all about structure and rules. Good luck with your resolutions. :-)

  8. SO beautiful!! Popping over from Sugar and Dots to say hello. :) Have a wonderful week and very happy 2013! XOXO
