I'm finally getting to the point of being able to REALLY cook again! Whoo hoo! I have seriously felt out of my element with not having to strength to stand up long enough to do anything but pout a bowl of cereal!
Last night, I had some ground beef that had been thawed in the fridge-but I honestly didn't know what to do with it. Pasta just didn't sound good...and other than that-I was out of ideas!
To Pinterest it is!
After looking around at various recipes, I got the inspiration I needed! So off to experiment!
Here is the recipe I came up with. Not all ingredients are typically in Korean Beef-but it came out pretty darn awesome!
Korean Beef
Ingredients:
1 lb of ground beef
1 tbs Worcestershire Sauce (this gives the meat a smokey flavor. It's optional though!)
1 tbs Rice Vinegar
2 tsp Ginger (fresh would be best, but I didn't have any on hand!)
1 tbs minced garlic
1/4 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef in pan with garlic, ginger, Worcestershire sauce, and rice vinegar.
2. Once fully cooked, add soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes to taste.
3. Cook until all ingredients are completely incorporated.
Serve with sticky rice!
(Serves 2)
My hubby and I couldn't even talk to each other during dinner last night because we were stuffing our faces! Went really well with a cool cucumber salad. The taste was amazing! So amazing, I'm trying to again tonight, but with flank steak! TONS of flavor I tell ya-TONS!
If you try this out, let me know!

Ah! I'm definitely going to have to try this. Thanks for posting! :)

This sounds so yummy! My hubby doesn't like "sweet" main entrees, but I do, so I'm going to make this sometime while he's out of town. I can't wait! :D
ReplyDeleteHave an asian chicken dish I will be posting, love Korean food - will have to try!

I made this for dinner tonight, and my family loved it! The only thing I did differently was to add a sprinkle of cornstarch at the end of the cooking time to help thicken the sauce. Thanks so much for an easy and delicious dish!
