Here is a REALLY CHEAP and REALLY EASY project to spruce up those make-up brushes!
Here is what you will need:
Candle holders. I bought these iron ones from a yard sale a few weeks ago for $5 for all three! They were in perfect condition! You want the candle holders for the large pillar candles. For this project I am only using the short and middle ones. Not sure what I am going to do with that large holder just yet.
These are the glass rocks that people put in fake flower arrangements. I picked up black and teal at the dollar store. I went through one bag of black and a bag and a half of the teal ones.
These were also from the dollar store. You have a lot of options with what kind of vase you choose. Just make sure it sits your candle holders and that the holder isn't larger that the vase-or it'll look goofy.
Super glue. You could probably use the E6000 epoxy, but this worked just fine and was super fast!
Literally, all you have to do is glue the vase to the base of the candle holder.
Hold both the vase and holder together until the glue dries. I put a liberal amount of glue around the edges, once it dried-you couldn't see it.
After the glue dries, put the rocks inside, and add your brushes!
And here is your finished project!!
These looks really great on top of my vanity. A definite upgrade from the plain glass vase I was using before.
You can really change this up as much as you want. Even adding a large candle in the vase would be pretty as well as candy!
