I Hate the 'C' Word
I received some pretty saddening news yesterday. My aunt-one of my absolute favs-has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. This is not the first time she's had it. I just feel completely numb about the whole situation. I lost my beloved grandma 9 years ago from the same disease. It's like reliving that horror all over again. My faith feels a bit shaken. It seems the past few years my family has lost too many loved ones.

Spring Cleaning and My Little Green
One of the things that has been on my list is to clean some of the thrift store baby items I've bought the past few weeks. Some have been in pretty good shape-and some have been pretty gross. I've also needed to clean my toddler's car seats as well which were in horrible condition!!!
So I stripped off the three car seat covers and one stroller cover. Then, I busted out my favorite cleaning "supply", the Bissell Little Green Machine. Man I love this thing!
You fill it up with a cleaning concentrate and water...then get to scrubbing. It's pretty magical. I bought this last year with taxes, but was just using it for the occasional spill. In the past week or so now, I've been using it for all kinds of things!
I scrubbed and scrubbed the seat covers with great success! My camera wouldn't pick up the dirt, so no before shots :( Here is proof on just how dirty these covers were:

Is that not disgusting? And this was just after cleaning one stroller cover and one carseat cover. Only took about 20 mins of cleaning to get them pretty much spotless.
The first carseat I cleaned was the baby's. I was able to get it used at our consignment shop for FREE! I had some credit at the store, and didn't have to pay anything for it. It's not even close to the expiration date, and looks pretty darn good now!
This is why I LOVE buying used. It is possible to get quality at a cheaper price-while being pretty eco-friendly as well.
I still have a few more things to scrub down, but (I can't believe I'm saying this) I'm really enjoying it.
That's what I've been up to.
How's YOUR Spring Cleaning going?

Wedding Bliss
Finally home and getting back into the swing of things! If you were following me through Instagram this weekend, then you would know that we spent the weekend celebrating a very sweet wedding. G's uncle Josh (who is actually younger than my hubs!) married his longtime sweetheart in Lake Norman. Little Moosey was the flower girl so we had to go down early for the rehearsal.
Let me tell ya-staying in a hotel with two little people is hardly relaxing. Especially when one of those little people is teething.
Here are some shots of our trip via Instagram:

This was Moosey's handmade flower girl dress! Is it not absolutely stunning????
